February 23, 2010: Ambrosian Café
Sixty parishioners gathered to enjoy a delicious chicken marsala luncheon cooked by Jackie Papa and Isabell Hashem. Fr. Don entertained all with love song trivia from his vast collection of oldies music. What a fun afternoon!
January 22, 2010: March for Life, Washington, D.C.
Parishioners Melissa and Sean McMahon joined Youth Minister Joey Singleton at the annual march to show support for the Pro-Life causes.
January 19, 2010: The Ambrosian Cafe
A new luncheon series has begun for our parishioners. This luncheon featured a chili luncheon and Super Bowl Bingo.
January 10, 2010: Sean Clive Concert & Pot Luck Dinner
Sacred music composer Sean Clive and his wife and five children treated the parish to a wonderful concert that concluded our Christmas season.
December 10, 2009: Christmas Tea
Ladies of the parish brought out their finest holiday china and decorations to transform Msgr. Carey Hall into a winter wonderland. Music beforehand was provided by harpist Melissa Collins.
December 6, 2009: Parish Pasta Dinner
The parish staff treated the congregation to a delicious pasta dinner featuring homemade sauce by Fran and Suzanne Reardon.
November 24, 2009: Basically Bach Ensemble Fall Concert
This fall the ensemble performed J.S. Bach's Cantata BWV 132 Bereitet die Wege, Bereitet die Bahn and Wolfgang Mozart's Mass in C-minor, KV427 "Great Mass". The ensemble is directed by Fitzroy Stewart. Soloists included Ghislaine Stewart, Jean Miller Goodheart, Hilerie Klein Rensi, James Gleason and Randolph Messing.
August 21, 2009: Altar Servers Trip to Hershey Park
Eight St. Ambrose altar servers joined others from St. Joseph's and St. Anthony's churches for a fun day at the park. Despite an hour of thunder, lightning and rain, the group had a great time.
July 26, 2009: Parish Picnic
The St. Ambrose Parish family gathered at Glendale Park for some fun in the sun and a delicious cookout.
April 11, 2009: RCIA candidates receive sacraments
St. Ambrose welcomed four new Catholics into our parish at our Easter Vigil Mass: Rebecca Spencer and Sandi Cutting, were baptized, confirmed and received First Eucharist; Nicole Oswald and Frank Meyer were received into the faith and received First Eucharist and Confirmation. Congratulations all — you are a blessing to our parish!
March 21, 2009: IGNITE 2009 Catholic Men's Conference, Syracuse
Men from St. Ambrose Parish attended this daylong retreat meant to inspire men to become men of faith using the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit to ignite their Catholic faith into everyday life.

Jan. 30, 2009: Over 50 Club Volunteers & Knitting Group Outing
This fun outing to Windsor included a horse and buggy ride with Debbie and Charles Sickmon's Gentle Giants. The leisurely hour-long ride through back country was led by percheron horses Max and Buddy and overseen by Guiseppe, a Jack Russell terrier. Some of the nicest weather of the winter, a balmy 36 degrees, made it easier to singalong on the ride. Lunch at a Windsor restaurant followed.
Dec. 24, 2008: Nativity Play, 4 p.m. Mass
Children of St. Ambrose Parish put on the Nativity Play at the Christmas Vigil Mass.

Nov. 25, 2008: Basically Bach Ensemble Fall Concert
The Basically Bach Ensemble, conducted by Fitzroy Stewart, put on a wonderful concert at 7:30 p.m. Along with soloists Ghislaine Stewart, Therese Gallo, James Gleason and Randolph Messing, the chorus and orchestra performed George Frideric Handel's "Dettingen Te Deum in D Major" and Johann Sebastian Bach's "Cantata BWV 40." It was a superb performance. St. Ambrose is very fortunate to have such talent among its fold.
Dec. 9, 2008: Christmas Tea
After a wonderful holiday concert directed by choir director Tim Wetherbee, guests went downstairs to Msgr. Carey Hall to see it magically transformed into an elegant tea room. Each and every table was decorated beautifully and so creatively.
Dec. 7, 2008: Annual Pasta Dinner
It was time for the parish staff to give thanks to the parish for a great centennial year by serving up a hearty penne pasta dinner on the feast of our patron saint, St. Ambrose. Fran and Suzanne Reardon cooked up vats of delicioso tomato sauce. The staff cooked and served dinner, decorated the cafeteria and greeted our wonderful guests. Ann Marie and Kevin Kane did most of the dish washing. What a fun night!
