Several Tier priests concelebrated the Centennial Mass with Bishop Costello. The Knights of Columbus honor guard stand ready to welcome Bishop Costello. Altar servers Megan Brunner and Mike Murray wait for the procession to begin. Zach Reardon, Joe Brunner and Paul Shaughnessy await the start of the Mass. The Centennial Choir and St. Ambrose Brass Quintet, under the direction of Tim Wetherbee, begin the celebration. John Bombaski led the entrance procession carrying our new banner of St. Ambrose. Sr. Molly Smith, former St. Ambrose School principal, carries in a symbol of education. Olga White carries a symbol of our world. Jerry Wagner carries a pitcher of water, symbolic of Christ's washing of the disciples' feet on Holy Thursday. Mary Gerchman and Rose Blaine also carry in symbols of Holy Thursday. Frances DeGregorio carries in a missal, symbolizing our daily connections made to God through prayer and liturgy. Lectors Shirley Rollo and Sr. Madeleine Merritt. Visiting clergy process in. Deacon Ed Blaine carries in the Gospel after pastor Father Charles Currie. Most. Rev. Thomas J. Costello, celebrant, enters the church. Bishop Costello opens the Centennial Mass. Cantor Becky Monforte leads the congregation in the Gloria. Lector Shirley Rollo gives the first reading, Isaiah: 55: 10-11. Deacon Ed Blaine reads the Gospel, Matthew 13: 1-23. Former pastor Father John E. Fetcho gives a moving homily. Mary Pat Hyland reads the Prayer of the Faithful. Delores Stankiewicz and Mary Inman prepare the altar. Kathy Hastings carries up cloth to prepare the altar. Brittany and Brandon Miller carry up cloth, also. Peter Kuchera carries in the lectionary. Charles and Joan Swetitch carry candles to the altar. Joe and Carole Konrad present the gifts to Bishop Costello. Zach Reardon incenses the gifts as Father Mariusz Wirkowski, Father Charles Currie and Bishop Costello watch. Bishop Costello consecrates the wine. Tier priests concelebrate the consecration with Bishop Costello. Father Fetcho and Father Currie process out with Bishop Costello and Deacon Ed Blaine.
